Food Security and Trade Facilitation – Identify and address trade obstacles in NENA region
To enhance trade efficiency by identifying and addressing key barriers through validated questionnaires and stakeholder engagement for targeted trade flows between Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE, and Oman.
- Developed and validated six questionnaires for designated trade flows, covering livestock exports from Jordan to Saudi Arabia, vegetable and fruit exports from Egypt to the UAE, and cereal re-exports from the UAE to Oman.
- In the process of conducting focus group discussions to gather private sector participants’ input on key trade obstacles for these flows.
- Additionally, prepared draft reports on the identified trade barriers for each
selected flow, including livestock, fruits and vegetables, and cereals through desk research.
