The Role

We are hiring a versatile and driven Associate Economist / Research & Strategy Associate to support our core team. This role is ideal for a generalist who thrives in dynamic environments, is passionate about development and policy, and brings a strong combination of research, analytical, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Research & Analysis: Conduct data-driven and qualitative research across sectors such as health, agriculture, trade, and infrastructure.
• Proposal & Strategy Development: Support drafting of technical proposals, budgets, and program strategies.
• Data & Visualization: Analyze and interpret data using tools like Excel, Python, or Stata; create visuals using Tableau, Power BI, or other platforms.
• Technical Writing: Assist with writing and editing of reports, concept notes, and client deliverables.
• Client & Partner Engagement: Participate in meetings, help prepare presentations, and support communications with external stakeholders.
• Operational & Content Support: Contribute to document formatting, content development, and communication materials, including occasional support for social media.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Economics, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related field from a top-tier university (e.g., LUMS, IBA, LSE, Harvard, Oxford)
• 5 to 7 years of professional experience in consulting, research, development, or policy work.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Comfortable managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Adaptable, detail-oriented, and eager to take on a variety of responsibilities.
