Ready for Trade Central Asia (R4TCA): Identification of Key Obstacles to Trade

Working in close collaboration with ITC field offices in CA countries as well as with the countries of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, this study identified key obstacles on selected trade flows and including the process of selection of these trade flows. The identified key obstacles were identified using hybrid survey approaches and field visits the outcomes from this methodology. The study also identified the respective root causes for the identified obstacles. The study included extensive KIIs, FGDs, and Conferences at a regional and national level in Central Asia—Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan.
